Features

EasyCMS was designed to work for users of virtual servers without any PHP knowledge. Its flat file structure does come with some limitations compared to database driven CMS. However, the EasyCMS features should tackle each most of the tasks necessary to generate a web site:

  • Sitemap editor
  • Complete control over look + feel, no preset template structure
  • Unlimited number of templates
  • Multiple editable content areas per template
  • Generated pages independent of EasyCMS
  • Internal commands for easy HTML development (encoding of special characers, variables to reuse in templates, such as parent page, title and keywords)
  • Internal HTML reference and HTML command generators
  • Asset web upload facility
  • Customisable editor layout
  • Multi language interface
  • No database dependency

Requirements

To make EasyCMS work, you need:

  • A server with PHP4 running
  • Some subfolders with write permissions
  • An HTML template
  • Basic HTML knowledge
  • A Sitemap

Once you unpacked the EasyCMS zip you can open the "index.html" file in your browser to get instructions which subfolder attributes to change. Should you get stuck, EasyCMS comes with an extensive help section.
